Debra A. Hancher

Business Manager and Vice President

As Business Manager, Debra is responsible for working with all current and potential Corporate Affiliates. She leads with the Senior Associates and works with the entire organization to execute successful workshops — from speaker selection to affiliate involvement.

Debra joins the firm after a 17-year career in Investment Banking at JPMorgan in New York City. During her career, Debra has worked as part of a team to achieve several successful billion-dollar transactions. Her role as Vice President will be to assume leadership in achieving AHC Group's strategic goals in increasing the range and diversity of its corporate affiliates' membership. The broad experience she brings to this new role includes management, building client relationships, recruiting, and product development.

Debra has an MBA in Finance from New York University and a BA in Economics from Wells College.

Lily Gedney

Literary Secretary and Group Liaison

Lily is responsible for reviewing all written articles and published works for the AHC Group. Additionally, she is the liaison between Bruce Piasecki and his literary contacts (publishers, agents, etc.). She serves the Group in coordinating many of the details around accounting and enrollments in our workshops.

Her previous work experience as a research assistant to professors in the Government and French departments at Skidmore College have honed her research and writing skills. As a native San Franciscan, Lily became interested in environmental issues at a young age. She became a true advocate when she spent a summer canvassing for Environment California's "Clean Oceans" campaign. There, she also worked on securing media attention for a campaign on solar energy.

Lily has a BA from Skidmore College, where she majored in Government with a minor in English, concentrating on Expository Writing.

Gale Degener

World Inc. Outreach Leader

Gale is responsible for a variety of outreach campaigns for the AHC Group — from communication with leading executives to those readers responding to World Inc and our other publications.

Gale enjoyed a career as a public educator that spanned over three decades. Gale brings experience of research and editing, having been awarded several research grants during her career. She has served as a member of two not-for-profit Boards of Directors — Ronald McDonald House Charities of Albany, NY, and The of Circle of Life, serving the needs of children with juvenile diabetes.

Gale has degrees from Green Mountain College and SUNY at Albany, as well as her NYS teaching certifications in English and Business Education.

Marykay Greenfield

Executive Assistant/Office Manager

Marykay brings to her position at AHC Group 26 years of office experience in various businesses, such as an architecture firm, a national health insurance company, and the NBC affiliate station WNYT in Albany, NY, where she served as executive assistant to the news director.

As Executive Assistant, Marykay handles all aspects of the AHC Group's business correspondence, client scheduling, and workshop enrollment. In addition, she is responsible for maintaining smooth operations of the corporate office.

Marykay received an AAS degree from SUNY—Cobleskill, and also attended Russell Sage College, where she took course work in Communications.

Frank Weaver

Webmaster and World Inc. Case Leader

With more than 25 years of marketing, project management, and design experience in the areas of print, web, and multimedia communications, Frank has a proven track record in helping organizations deliver their message and increase their market visibility.

Over the years, he has produced award-winning print pieces and websites, animations, music CDs, and videos for organizations in the fields of law, high-tech, entertainment, publishing, education, health care, and manufacturing, among others. With his writing skills and in-depth knowledge of design and usability issues, Frank focuses his efforts on developing strategies and achieving results to promote both the mission of AHC Group and the message of www.worldincbook.com.

Frank is also an editor and published author. He has a BA in Creative Writing and an MA in English from SUNY-Binghamton, and is the father of two wonderful boys.
