THOMAS S. DAVIS

Thomas S. Davis is President of Tom Davis Associates and an AHC Group Senior Associate. He specialized in environmental external affairs, issue management, stakeholder involvement, process management and outreach activities to corporate, media, government and the environmental communities.
Before 1996, Mr. Davis was Director of Global External Environmental Affairs for AT&T and Lucent Technologies. In that capacity, he was responsible for communicating the companies’ accomplishments in environmental management and safety. Mr. Davis spent thirty-one years with AT&T and during the last twelve years represented AT&T to it various stakeholders in the environmental arena.
Mr. Davis is involved with private sector environmental initiatives including the formation of the Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI) for which he managed the annual conference for six years and was a member of the Board of Directors. He is a founder of the Corporate EH&S Management Roundtable, the National Association of Environmental Manager, and the Industry Cooperative for Ozone Layer Protection, which became a model for future programs of corporate and government partnerships. He is active with the environmental committees of the Conference Board, Electronics Industry Association, Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers.
Mr. Davis was elected to the Board of Directors of New Horizons Technologies, Inc. serving on the executive compensation committee. He was formerly a member of the Board of Directors of Innovest Corporation. Mr. Davis is Vice President for Development of Federal Focus of Washington, DC and consultant to the Corporate EH&S Management Roundtable. He was a founder and was formerly executive director of the Trade and Environmental Council.
Mr. Davis also serves on many non-profit and non-governmental organization boards, including Chairman, Renew America, Environmental Alliance for Senior Involvement, he serves on the Board of the Institute for Conservation Leadership. He has served in various capacities, including Chair of the Information Technologies Work of EPA’s National Advisory Council for Environmental Protection Technology.
A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Davis is married to Dana, he is the father of two children, Dr. Thomas, Jr. and Joelle. He and his wife reside in Baskin Ridge, NJ.
