Sarah Forrest
Head of ESG Research
Goldman Sachs
Sarah Forrest was named Head of ESG Research (environment, social and governance) at Goldman Sachs after joining in 2003 to work with Anthony Ling in the Energy Equity Research Team. She graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2004 with a PhD in Chemical Engineering, and received a combined Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and Arts in Economics degree in 1998 from The University of Queensland, Australia.
In 2001 Goldman Sachs called for the world to "Build Better Global Economic BRICs." In doing so, they prompted what has become a global debate about the opportunities presented by Brazil, Russia, India, and China. In the intervening five years, the BRICs have emerged as central players in the world economy and global policymaking, affecting trade, capital markets, energy policy and investment decisions.
