A native of the Province of Quebec, Normand Pellerin has the overall responsibility for formulation of CN's corporate environmental policies and direction. He provides direction and guidance on such matters as air emission requirements, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day environmental issues in Canada and United States.
Canadian National is the largest R&R in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America.
Prior to taking this position, Mr. Pellerin worked at Air Canada as Director, Employee Safety and the Environment. Before that, he was the Director of Safety and Industrial Hygiene at Domtar, and an Industrial Hygienist at Johns-Manville.
Mr. Pellerin is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Environmental Auditor, and Accredited Safety Auditor. He holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Management from the University of Sherbrooke and a B.Sc. in Environmental Studies from the University of Montreal. He also holds a Diploma in Administration from the University of Sherbrooke.
